Kwikseal 381 Heavy Duty Double Sided Butyl Rubber Tape

The Kwikseal 381 from Stylus Tapes International is a heavy duty double sided butyl rubber tape built for all-weather sealing, joining, waterproofing and vibration dampening across Australian construction, civil and industrial sites. A 1mm butyl rubber adhesive on a kraft paper release liner conforms to rough and textured surfaces to form a permanent airtight, watertight seal that will not dry out like conventional adhesives. Rated from −15°C to 130°C and both UV and water resistant, it bonds to low and high surface energy substrates including concrete, glass, metal, timber and plastics.

Application Tips

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease and flaking paint. Apply above 10°C surface temperature and use firm rub-down pressure to achieve full surface contact — re-apply pressure after both surfaces are brought together. Bond strength continues to build over a few hours to 2–3 days depending on conditions.
